Accessibility
Last updated August 20, 2026.
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. That is a target the build was measured against, not a badge.
What was done
- Contrast was measured against every surface the palette actually uses, not only against the page background. The brand orange (#FF7A00) measures 2.61:1 on white and is therefore used for accents, rules and fills only — never for text on a light surface. A darker variant (#A75806) carries all brand-colored text at 5.20:1 on white, 4.80:1 on the light gray panel and 4.79:1 on the tint panel. On the dark brown band (#572402), body text is white at 12.66:1 and links are #FFD9B0 at 9.53:1.
- Heading levels do not skip. Each page runs h1 → h2 → h3 in order.
- Every image carries a real alt description, except decorative ones, which carry an explicitly empty alt inside a labeled control.
- Videos are click-to-load behind a labeled button, so nothing autoplays and no third-party frame loads until you ask for it.
- Keyboard focus is visible on every link and control.
- Author-written text is never transformed by CSS. Headings display as written.
- The required reporting disclosure is normal body text on a bordered panel, never shrunk, never collapsed behind a toggle.
Known limits
- The reporting and review-request forms are hosted on JotForm and are subject to that service’s own accessibility. If you cannot use them, call (314) 852-5500 and the same information can be taken by phone.
- Embedded video players are YouTube’s once you click play, including their captions and controls.
